Applications for relief funds chiefly for the period May 1933-December 1935. Most of the documents, except for the earliest grants, were prepared on report forms that varied slightly with the program for which the grant was made. A typical file consists of the Governor's application, supporting statement or narrative brief, certificate of Federal Emergency Relief Administration approval, certificate to the Reconstruction Finance Corporation requesting payment, telegram approving grant, and related correspondence.
